Thanks O.A. for helping clear this up. As far as I am concerned this is a closed matter and I ask any of my friends to just let it drop. This is a bogus account created to cause trouble and nothing more. O.A. was a victim just I have been. Thanks.

By CONCLUSION 02 Jun, 2011
This is a clear up that this account is fake. It was created under my name by a plagiarist I do not know long time ago because he/she was caught cheating on poetrysoup.com contest by me, a similar poetry site. I just posted this to clear up my name. There is no argument that Stephen is the sole owner of the poem. The plagiarist posted all my online poetry with other people's poetry like Stephen's here I don't know if to implicate or for any other reasons too complicated to explain. This is a message to clear up my name and that of Stephen's. My real account is woundingwords.poetrycraze.com . Since PM of this site couldn't do anything about this issue, I created this clearing my name. Thanks
Thanks

@Stainer J and Nadia, you two must be deluded to think you can pull off something like this. Mr. Washam has hundreds of readers and fellow poets that know his work and poetry style and what you two are trying to pull is so dishonest I don't know how you can sleep at night. Such sad individuals.

By Sharla 23 May, 2011
@Nadia, You really think you're fooling anyone? How come Duval High School in Maryland has him listed in their 2009 graduating class? It's so easy to check records you know. I also know he is currently enrolled at Hood College in Maryland. Wonder how they would like to hear about his plagiarism. By the way, there is no such magazine as Tuscarawa Review, several poets have been researching this and it is all BS. Give it up sweetie you have been exposed as a liar just like Stainer J.

By Flashcat 22 May, 2011
Sorry, my mistake. It is October 26 1990, Duval HS in Lanham, MD. Check the school records if you doubt it.

By Flashcat 22 May, 2011
Nope, born in December 1990. Got the proof. Lanham HS in Maryland. Better give it up.

@Nadia, You do know that this dude Stainer J was 13 years old in 2003 don't you? You really expect anyone to believe a 13 year old wrote and published this poem? You need to get real girl, there is no way this is his work or that he published this in 2003. You're bein' a sucker and lookin' bad tryin' to defend this.

By nadia 10 May, 2011
The publication is published in Stainer's name. That was the anonymous name I saw below it in 2003 Spring edition

By Flashcat 06 May, 2011
@Stainer J, Bad show dude, I have been readin' sewasham's work for years on other sites and this is most certainly his work. Written in his unmistakable style of rhymed quatrains. You need to come clean bro' this is not your writing. Pretty sad to try and rip someone off.

By Stephen E. Washam 06 May, 2011
@Nadia, my editor is researching the magazine information you provided and he has not yet located this publication. Can you please provide the month and year of the issue you referred to and the publisher's information? Who publishes this magazine?

By William Mark St. John 05 May, 2011
I happen to know this poem was written by Mr. Washam because it was done for a poetry contest that I sponsored and there were key phrases that had to be used in order to qualify for the contest that there is no way this person Stainer J could have coincidentally come up with those lines. Also after reviewing the information about Stainer J referred to me this person would have barely been in high school in 2003 so there is no way he wrote this in 2003. The original posting for the poem is timestamped on the original poetry site and I also have a copy of Mr. Washam's book with the poem published and copyrighted. I understand the administration of this site has been notified concerning this matter and I have all of the proof needed if they would like to see it.

By nadia 02 May, 2011
You said yours was published in 2005, how come his was in 2003. Or have you come here to make trouble

By nadia 26 Apr, 2011
Okay, if you say so.
Tuscarawa review [magazine]
page 25.

By sewasham 26 Apr, 2011
I see you reported me to the PM. I will make sure you pay for this in any site. I will copy your poetry also and we shall see.

By sewasham 19 Apr, 2011
I know exactly who you are Olusegun Olajide Adelana II also know as Stainer J. I also can read the post below where you did reply to me claiming "A Rose" to be your work. You also have it posted under your account so don't try to deny your theft. If you can't man up and admit you stole it then I will be your worst nightmare on any poetry site I find you. I am aware of a couple of other sites you post to as well. Thieving little punks like you make me sick so don't ask for civility after stealing from me. "A Rose By Night" was written and copyrighted while you were still in high school.

By A.O 15 Apr, 2011
@Stephen
Hey bro, this is my account...i Read some of ur work. Most of it awkward, and some very nicely decent. But your comment here reflect such indecency. If you are a published author, you should know better than this child-fool play and pranks. If someone stole your work do you actually have to use my username "stainer J" or whatever to comment on this. If you have any issue with this site or me in particular, why don't you contact with PM or contact me. Because clearly I am not a daft to summit a copyrighted work to magazine if the work isn't mine since they'd find out and fine me thereafter.
And please stop using my username to post blusterous comment reenacting self-insecurities about yourself. You will only be making fool of yourself because I never did type any words here. This is my first. Not cool!
This is a blog, don't forget that.

By Stephen E. Washam 08 Apr, 2011
@Nadia, please be so kind as to provide me the name of the magazine this poem was published in, title, month, and year. I would love to take this up with the publisher of that magazine (if it exists).

By Stephen E. Washam 08 Apr, 2011
This poem is most definetly my work (Thanks Dillan). I have the copyright and the publsihed book that it is in. Stainer J if you or any of you buddies would like to pursue this I would be glad to put you in touch with my copyright attorney. You are a thief and a liar. I am betting that with a little bit of research I can prove that most of your work is plagiarised. I will be posting your name and a link to your work on my other websites and we'll see how many other poets come forward about your actions. Stephen E. Washam

By Dillan 16 Mar, 2011
@Nadia , i think you shoulD look more at the Facts than the fiction this poem was first published by another poet, perhaps you should point your business in the correct direction and you say i should be careful WHY! it is illegal to copy another persons poem. you say you may be wrong, well yes you are.

By Dillan 16 Mar, 2011
@Stainer if you want to live in a dream-world then ok but you miss the point do you really think people belive you, the fact is that you put in this site a copy of another persons copyrighted poetry, published and copyrighted by them before 4 to 5 years ago live in a dream world if you wish you are the Rat.
Think you are the one who should watch your own business, it is illegal to claim a poem as your own that was copyrighted by another poet long before yourself. so i think you should put up or shut-up.

By Nadia 12 Mar, 2011
@Dillan. I think you are missing something here. The poem you are talking and rashing about as plagiarized was published in a magazine my Stainer J. 4 to 5 yrs ago in a magazine. I may be wrong but it is quite earlier and it is that is a discrepancy of some sort. You and Stephen should hook yourself up/ everyone can do this and camouflage. If your sissy a*s want to see a about the magazine reply, and if you decide to mind your business, it's alright I understand. Your nose might get burnt while smeeling the rat you know, so please be careful.

By Dillan 09 Mar, 2011
@Stainer.your pathetic, submit your own poetry from now on, not poetry that has been copyrighted by another poet first

Yes i smell the Rat ??????????? we all know who that is YES! submit your own or give credit to the poet.

By Stainer. J 06 Mar, 2011
@Dillan. Yeah you are right, it was strange and I smell a rat too. Please make sure you keep telling yourself that.

By Dillan 01 Mar, 2011
@Stainer J, well it seems real strange that the Poem, A Rose was first submitted on other sites by Stephen E. Washam in 2005.and copyrighted then by Stephen E. Washam, i smell a Rat

By Stainer J 18 Feb, 2011
@Dillan...the plagiarized work you are talking about is mine.
@Stephen E. Washam. The poem is mine, and if you use[d] it in aything, you'd be in serious trouble and probably go to jail; politely. You stole my brightest idea, this one will teach you a lesson never to cheat on a helpless poet like me again. Nice day.

By Dillan 15 Feb, 2011
If the winning Poem, "A Rose" is not your own work but copied, then how can this be a winner in this contest, as it is a plagiarized copy.

By Frown 20 Oct, 2010
Nice poems. I adore Death reject the most.

By Sebasten 17 Jul, 2010
Your peom "femme fatal" is quite intriguing and legendary. A new fashionable theme that show case the real paint of femme fatal as a word. Good job.

By Mona 17 Jul, 2010
Feeling something buzzing on this site, I mean it is pretty messed up seriously. "A Rose" as claimed is really a wonderful poem like all your original poem. So I'd suggest you let the PM knows that you added the name of the original poet, but it isn't visible though. It happens to me too. No cruel thing in fact. Where did you create a record?

By nadia 17 Jul, 2010
I've seen you'd not come to poetry-soup no more. Anyway, your poetry are indeed rocking there still and we are indeed missing your new poems. Ever still you created a new record for poetry on inkpop, I think you should give "Death Reject" a chance. I love the poem so much so tragic.

By Jenkins 13 Jul, 2010
As a response by Stephen Washam. This contest is a virtual, not a real contest. It is just one that is set up to give upcoming poems an uproar. We are allowed to post another person's work, and it is required before submitting the poem, the real poets name should be entered. This has happened to me before wheeby I added someone's work with his name, but when the poem is showed, the real author's name was not found making it show that is is plagiarized which is not. I already let the Poetrycraze associate know about this, and I know they are working it out to fix the problem with this site not accurate.

By Stephen E. Washam 11 Jul, 2010
The poem "A Rose" is not your work it is a plagiarized copy of my writing "A Rose By Night" as posted at http://allpoetry.com/poem/1149244 This is a copyrighted and published piece of work so I would strongly suggest you either remove it or credit the correct author as plagiarism is illegal. Stephen E. Washam

segun you are doing a good job. sky is not the limit for you.

Although, I don't exactly agree with your message,
I still have the highest degree of respect as a fellow artist in poetry.,
For now we may see only dimly,
Yet then what we do today will be forever be echoed throughout all eternity !

By FireWriter 04 Feb, 2010
